our measly everyday incentives to be part of a long line of custom and
practice, intimidations and rewards, false image and true belief,
incentives to hate, incentives to gather around the tribal camp fire?
What
are our measly everyday incentives to be of the grand melting pot that
is the legend and rapture of a culture that preys upon divergence, mines
diversity, wishes no inbreeding, feels for the loss of pride in an
American nation?
What are our measly incentives to be part of a
tomorrow that promises no reward, less definition, that promises
serfdom and boots upon the neck, glorious, pompous usurpers and
destroyers of law, of sovereignty?
What are our measly everyday
incentives to be part of it all, the pageantry, the show, the showcase,
the fury, the storms, the songs, the sirens? What are our measly
everyday incentives to be part of the world around us as it floats and
goes its merry way? What are our incentives to survive and act and
move and fold? Other than bodily survival, fear, loss of identity, loss
of compass, fear of chaos, fear of self, emptiness of choice,
desperation in hearts of hearts. The grand hammer makes for good
incentive.
The fawners, the owners, the players, the breakers, the
slayers, the smart have no such incentives. Citizens of their
mobility, they are, citizens of their freedom from want, freedom from
jurisdiction. The gods they cherish are the gods of insulation, access
to force, power vacuum, power, flunkies , hired muscle. Bless the basis
of their place and position. Rules are for those stuck under the
umbrellas of fantasies.

Honor does indeed make the world go round. Sentimental and teary eyed gents and ladies with love of country, love of flag, of truth, justice, the American way love freedom, democracy above all things politic, above all things holier than thou.
Scratch them, do they not bleed the reddest of blood. Pressure them, do they not sing the truest of songs, the most patriotic of fervor, the highest of high minded principle. Follow them and you not get trips through nether lands of staunch virtuous pillaging of the trolls of decrepit immorality and the black thoughts of ugly existence.
Time and distance and startling dimension know callings noble and aims true as the truest arrow and as pure as the purest of maidens. Time and distance are with the noble.
Vultures of darkness and enemies of the human spirit may descend upon the earth to do devilish deeds but those of pristine honor are always there to defend the franchise and to defend the causes of solemn right against the encroachments of corruption.
The world of freedom and democracy we have. No fixed voting, voting districts. No rigged candidates or rigged insurgents able to corrupt process and run the games of false choice for ever disenfranchised onlookers. No lack of access to the pittance of pleading and wheedling needed get help with the to intimidation and burying of the suckers who have no friends in friendly places.
Our heroes live and love. In the precious swamp of their derision they understand that order is the important thing and that a control of the process is control of order and that they are the last best defense against chaos and confusion.
Lip service in defense of needed order, lip service in defense lack of uncertainty, lip service in defense of the temples of natural selection are not vice. This is the virtue of those who are deft. It is to those who play the game we owe our allegiance.

Is it of honor we speak? Is it of honor we have any concern what so ever? It it of past loves and illusions we reference when we beg to pivot in our thoughts and see honor as a concept or a term of some or any validity in our amoral universe?
Is it of honor that we have a concern or a dream or a faded photograph of when honorable men walked the earth and their honor was a sought after virtue as opposed to a light of derision for the ill suited climbers who see victory at rancidness to be the highest of callings and the surest way to the emotional and material riches that come to those who are in tune with the knowing and the serene.
Is it of honor we dream when we are told again and again that the staunch will not flee and the unthinking will not bend as they substitute the dishonor of ideology for the pain of thought?
Is it for honor we yearn when those of the political sphere see their own private wars as that which is the only thing that is in the arena and that their own little definitions of politics are the only little way to the only little thing things that power and government have to offer .... and to share. Politics is the way to ungodly power for the ungodly saints. It is death for sinners.
There is, alas, no nuance in lack of honor only deft slogans for deft folk...slogans to sell slogans to sell oneself. There is always motive, belief, agenda, fire. There is always cynicism and greed. There is the illusion of purpose and the illusion of sincerity always put out by those who show no moral compass save adolescent thought and motive. There is the mantra of simplicity and the rage of futility. There are those who are always poised to ride the crest and to ride the wave. There are always those ready to launch tirades, invective, nonsense as worth and to paint pictures of grand holy warriors as the most furtive and justifiable of wanderers. Honor, then. is the conquest of the dragon...our self defined, self inflated dragon pink and dragon scary. Mailable and all purposed all, on their chargers, all, the saviors of humanity and the heroes of their minds. Or just the cynical tramps of their hearts.

So you hate your congressperson. So congress is terminally flawed and irredeemably flatulent. So the winds of wonder never touch down when those in congress choose to make it out of their draconian dens and their edifices of rubble. So the sun never shines where they trundle and the quality of life on earth only spirals downward whenever and wherever they open their mouths and try not to be too transparently soulless.
So they're all vile and evil and laughable and psychically, morally, intellectually bankrupt. So when they do anything but stand in the way of opportunity growth, sense, reason, spirit they foam at the mouth and pass rabies to all with whom thy come in contact.
Flay them. Slay them. Admonish them. Make them oafs of derision. Hammer them. Waltz with them. Club them. They will not die. The will go on and on and on forever. Forever and a day. And the day after that. They will be eternal. The beasts who will not die. The beasts who will not melt. The beasts who will keep coming and coming and groping and groping.

We have the morally decrepit and the ideologically pure. We have those without a brain and those with brains eaten away by the dry rot of misuse, of fear, of pirouetting synapse, mortgaged souls. We have the galloping thinkers who have their agendas and points of view force fed to them daily from those who would tacitly pull their strings as long as their vile grease can be handled without infection. Get too close and we have bio hazard.
We have the inveterate liars, the inveterate fools, the cunning schemers, the venal sneering snakes, the good fellows and the proud cowpokes.
We have the orgasmically challenged who look for their fixes in the lengths and depths of the bile they eat and the flies they catch with their tongues.
Our governing and screaming hero class.
We have the spinsters, the haters, the attention seekers, the frauds, the muggers, the pimps, the gangsters, the degenerate prostitutes, the intimidators, the neo fascists, the owners, the breakers, the showmen and those made of putrid mist.
We have our tethers of moral rectitude and character.
We have the song birds singing for their supper and ruing ours. We have our stars and fairy god mothers and god fathers, We have none of backbone, courage, independent thought, critical thinking, scientific method. We have our unincentified menagerie of players who do what they do and are what they are as the sirens they hear are the sirens they love.... sinister sirens keeping them dull, corrupt, closed minded, power hungry, without honor, without souls, without a care in the natural world. A good god damn rational notion of governance is a good gad damned pestilence and breeding ground for traitors.
We have those who answer to their fawners, owners, intimidators, back breakers, absence of thought police. We have our proud soldiers of the lord who have no reason to be any different. God has made them special people in a special world.

Dominance Games: So damned complicated

The go getters want to go and get. The go getters want to camp in the camping grounds of those who've gone and got. They want to charge up the hills of glory and reflected glory and throw their lots in with the canny and wise, the achievers, doers, job creators, wealth creators..... the hard working salt of the earth types who roll up their sleeves and build better worlds and make society a growing vibrant place.....That is what they wish to do. A growing vibrant place is what they want.
The lazy idle and irredeemably intellectual snobbish wish to see the wealth of nations squandered on the lame and the halt and they wish to see the drive for innovation, creativity, risk, action, drama sucked out of everyday life so that all that is left are passionless drones who are the broad bland degenerate useless.
Those who seek redress of problems and bad ways know that they can petition a stagnant government only far too happy to answers to the needs of the afflicted and uncomfortable....that is what governments do.... that is what they are for.
Those wishing honest ascension to the places open to the making their mark, the doing of their wants, the breaking their enemies know that government is the enclave of those who support it, own it, pay for it, structure it, and that the good support of power should yield either the rewards of help or the rewards of no hindrance.
All of our power seekers let go and let alone know where and when to stop, know where and when to pull back and not conquer or break, know whom to hurt, whom not to hurt, whom to care nothing about. What collection of diddling fools need interest groups to speak truth to power, to speak muscle to power unchained, to intimidate the intimidators....the put upon care not who their masters are.... the bells and banjos of political and economic practice, discourse, fodder, talk, philosophy mean a mother load of nothing if the only thing able to be trusted is that whichever bastards gain the upper hand...they are the bastards that will screw you.
Respect for power. Respect for checks on power. Respect for survival of the fit. Respect for being brothers keeper....its so damned complicated. Better to just screw the one your with.

The spectrum, the sliding scale, the integral proportion of wealth and power, force and deference....oh where oh where can we go? Where oh where can we find the solace of vision and the comfort of quest that we wholesomely deserve?
All inclusive are we. A world of aristocracy. A world of plutocracy, of meritocracy, of politically and morally correct? A world of structured class and each in his or her place. A world of simple and constant and ferocious dreams, wants, divides, fantasies, sets, set ups. What do we aim for? Who do we bury? What looks good in the mirror? In the absence of any real chance to have real people do real things to effect solid policy we get always true stock players and actors for comic relief leading the eternal ratings bonanza of the many loves of the desperate dance prancers of the mawkish melodies of karaoke..... always public spectacle, circus, show, campaign, talk. Politics as the soft breezes that caresses the day.
Were there a real demand for virtuous speech and honest policy a demand that had some strength and force and a magnitude of pressure then the product given might be something different and become then the boring earnest gab fest done by those who are policy wonks and technocrats and goal oriented softies.
The grand free marketplace of political discourse has responded over and over again to the demands put upon it to keep using the bells and whistles and keep sending out the B actors and commercial product/placement players that fill the void of off time programming and sullied lives that is the solid entertainment of political farce.
We demand in our political markets certain drama, certain heroes, certain villains, certain forms of shadow dance. We accept the game as it is and wallow it its debauchery. The efficient market then gives us sun and fun and sweet nothings made up of feckless promise and grand sham. There is no there there. Our political games are show games and they are nice posteriors and sweet projections. Central casting gives us plot, words, story, character....all is the process, the marketing. All good entertainment has / lets the show become the reality. The demand is for mindless entertainment, quick thrills, blood curling tempests. The showmen have long experience and vast knowledge. Show biz is show biz. Dumb stays dumb.

There is no jobs crises as we've been informed that were the unemployed amongst us real worthwhile human beings then they would be working at the myriad of jobs that could be of their choosing.
We've been informed that there are plenty of alternatives for people who are forced from their homes, as well. By selfishly wishing to stay put and to demand that where possible they retain a roof over their heads they are just impeding the noble march of the free market unchained.
And just imagine...We've been informed that we are a nation in danger of being polluted by inferior folk, in danger of having the mongrel views of inferior folk infect our political process......they must be stopped and the must have their voting franchises taken away.
And workers who wish workers rights, we've been informed, are no more than thieves who wish to snuff out the lights of innovation, entrepreneurship, capitalism, growth by taking more for their labors than what is wished to be offered, more for their labors than a fixed market might deem appropriate.
What is the purpose of a political system, apolitical entity, a political process if those who gain their sweet little choke holds and rise to the top cannot exercise their duly earned power and dictate the terms that make them proud.

Some grow to accomplish great things and in their awe and satisfaction with their own achievements wish to join the ranks of the governing classes. These are all by far public spirited poachers who feel that doing right is doing good and that doing good is doing better. Power and position are simply mere trappings of a calling that enables the true and honorable among us to show their wares and shine in the spotlights of public service.
Many come and go but those who come well prepared and well propped, well fed, well connected, and well heeled understand the nature of the arena to which they aspire. They will be singled out and praised, sought after and looked at...they will become the apple in the eye of those whom they may serve.
it is for the public good that these brave souls toil. It is for the good and welfare of their communities, their regions, their states, their country that they work. The future is something that they can shape, They can help secure it for their own and their charges. It is good to be able to shape the future, It is good to be able to shape the present. It is good to be able to shape debate, shape policy, shape paths towards freedom and righteousness and clean laundry. Governance is for the strong, the secure, the wise, the secure, the able. All of our aspirants are able.
All of our aspirants are there to learn, to judge, to listen, to know. We ache for the fine men and women of public virtue.
Governance is good. It is noble. It is hard work and sure trouble. It is a the high calling.
It, then, is to our great joy and happiness that we get aspirants who strive to do public work and not aspirant who strive to do public sin. Seeking power is what the good guys do when they know that they are always right. Seeking power is what the good guys do when they know the wind is at their backs and that the wind blows them towards shores of riches and rewards. Seeking power is what politics is all about. Doing something with power is what those capable of seeing past their tortured little souls are never quite able to get right. This take a quiet desire to understand what exactly governance is supposed to achieve. This takes knowing that governance is all about being king and having the ability to lop off heads at whim and will. We love our little aspirants. They are so basic.

So there once was a labor movement that was able to push back against unchecked capitalism. So there were once trust busters, those crying for fairness and equality. There were always those wishing to push back against abuse......personal, systemic, hellacious, unrequited. Action, reaction, synthetic settling of corruptible balances of menace, power, glamor, deviation. The little boys and girls would wish to get just enough to let the big boys and girls play their games and break their enemies.
Owned souls and orgasmic greed are not too damned pretty but they make the world go round. Self wonder, self aggrandizement, power seeking is the way of the world. Greedy, rotten bastards and economic sultans fill the annals of history, society, propriety, song and story. So damned shocking to see human nature on parade.
Legislate goodness and mercy, civic responsibility and chaste souls. Legislate smarts, critical thought, roses and propaganda. Send away those who gleefully reinforce lovely visceral hates.
Systems get broke. Systems get gamed and shamed. They get bought and sold, worshiped and raped. They get taken, get protected, get mean. Vulnerabilities in systems get exploited, get wrapped up in pretty little bows and get given as gifts to happy little peddlers. Too damned big to fail means I got you by the ..... Too damned strong to compromise means I win, you lose, get taken, go drown. Too damned intimidating too be spoken to means blood gets shed and lives get ruined. Pity no balance of interests, of powers, of regress, of exploitation. Mean means being at the mercy of those without mercy.
Broken systems need be fixed. End game are not winner take all. Suckers are suckers unless they understand the way things work. Push is always is answered by push back unless the pushers get smart enough to kill push back and remove those who would do so. We call that bad and murderous public policy. Otherwise we have the show and the prospect of someone able to rig the game against the killers, the maimers, the viscous, the sinister. Don't hold your breath.

My anger is angrier than your anger. My hurts are more hurting than your hurts. My pain is more painful than your pain...... A grand race to martyrdom swinging and slinging along is now our daily bread. concentrate upon real frustrations and real inequities, real imbalances of real power, real dangers to the survival of real people and real lives if you will but you then are a dumb lummox who just doesn't get the uses of protest.
Someone special has to take ownership of the greater pain, the truer pain, the more real frustration, the more honest delineation of vile offenders of human kind. Someone special has to take ownership of brand, be the true blue and only real brand, sell the true and only all in one miracle elixir and remedy for all that ails.
How these things stay real.... no more players seeking power for power's sake, tears for tears sake. All little protest movements are ripe for the pickings, ripe for the co-opting, ripe for the using and abusing.
Those in pain choose to respect the pain of others. Its the pain that matters, not the game. Never are there calculating bastards ready to wring out the doctrine of true social ills and homey misery. What other good does protest offer? Give wily bastards a nice little tool to use to skin more suckers. Bless the beasts and the children.

If you can trust the federal government to regulate and bureaucratize and mismanage any problem to death then you can trust private enterprise to squeeze out and throw away anything but profits, put firewalls up against accountability, pay off those who need be paid off and have no one available speak to in order to resolve problems. Each system is no damned good and bless us we have to put up with them cause they are no damned good save that there are no others..... no other ways to play and influence and cheat and steal.
All the cherubic hustlers hustling out their own cherubic views of our own cherubic government and our own cherubic commerce, power, culture, thought police, thought control, thought vacancy ... imagine innate corruptions in the holy sea of faith, hope and charity.... all innate godliness.... the imagination is in itself a venal sin.
The great hyped thoughtlessly, mindlessly, guilelessly promises kept and miles traveled stem from the lack of original sin. A firm, fair, incorruptible system of acts and beliefs; we cherish all who see no evil.
Of agendas, enemies, flaws in hearts of evil doers there is no mountain of belief. Worshiped positions taken are always exaggerated to comic extremes.
Culture, tap dance, inbred sellers of bright and shiny things. The tricks of ner' do well poets of seething tears and heart tugging virtues. Efficiency, balance, purpose, song..... the shell game and the dance of seven veils. Little pet peeves and smarmy debates all feel good when the sun rises and helps the tall grass grow. Good place to hide.

One side of the venal political spectrum calls out the other side for essentially doing and using the same sets of tactics and charms that they have done. The other side of the venal political spectrum calls out the other side for being the wretched refuse of the earth, for essentially working a surely foreseen push back against stupendous efforts done by their own little side on behalf of life, liberty and the American way. Venal barkers and mouthy pols rejoice in the opportunities to label as evil and demented the actions of those whose tactics they will surely use if convenience hits and hits of money and/ or power beckons. Hypocrisy is effort, king, tool, game, image, mark of honor amongst those who are gods warriors and the devils enemies.
Tactic. Trumpet. Pay for play. A bow to masters that own them...... grown men and women have no shame, have no honor, have no backbone, have no guts when it comes to polluting the air and the world with their sycophantic licks and their red meat lunges. All is in defense of eternal political war. All is in defense of power grabs, of the kill, of the breaking of political and financial enemies all deemed too devious to be left to survive. The game is the thing. Pollution is the thing. Power is the thing. The selling of souls is the thing. They bore us and snow us. They rip us and fleece us. They show us the way to small men and women working hard at being small men and women. They remake their worlds in the images of themselves. Small,ugly. shriveled imitations of human souls.

It is very nice to be too big to fail. It is a comforting thing to know that one has achieved a stature and an accession to power that makes ones survival vital to the interests of millions whether or not those millions like or benefit by ones actions.
Its very nice to be too big to fail. Too big to fail and you can dictate terms, dictate agendas, frame policy, run the world. Too big to fail and you have permanent protection from rivals and enemies....you have a stranglehold and a fear factor to use. You have intimidation to muster, favors to hand out. Size may be desirable to stave off encroaching competition but that competition is just a rival for more control over the powers you control. Your size offers self protection, not protection for those over whom you lord power and control of futures.
Monopoly is the end point of unfettered capitalism. Monopoly means the end of forces that can put checks upon those who strive to be great. They win. Their power need serve none but themselves. Why promote the easy paths for those of extreme wealth and power to amass more extreme wealth and power. Power does corrupt......absolute power does tend to corrupt absolutely. Why do we celebrate the openings to such outcomes. Stifling power is not stifling competition or the pursuits of productive capitalists.

Why is it that some trust government and others do not. Why is it that some trust business and others do not. Do both sets of innocents wear the same consummate sets of blinders trumpeting the idea of the functioning god father. All such daydreams outstrip and out trump all reality.
All government, all business, all labor, all wealth ... all pillars of grand civilization, go bad and abuse the lovely powers they attain. This is not a new concept. It is a hardly revolutionary concept. All roads to all hells are paved somewhere, somehow with some dreamers damned good intentions. Pure hearts and gentle people love to work for the public good. They sell their wares and stories color them worthy.
Trust is a luxury few can afford. There seems a grand lack of critical thinking afoot in the public arena these days. We have agendas, wants, dreams, hates, lusts, kill good pap. Why is it that some trust government and others do not. Why is it that some trust business and others do not. Do both sets of innocents wear the same consummate sets of blinders trumpeting the idea of the functioning god father. All such daydreams outstrip and out trump all reality.
All government, all business, all labor, all wealth ... all pillars of grand civilization, go bad and abuse the lovely powers they attain. This is not a new concept. Afflict the comfortable. Comfort the afflicted. An old journalistic maxim with the prisms of today's general journeys into darkness throws on its ear, into the pits of hell, staunchly making it a target for primitive species every where.
With a bias towards the mighty and mighty, the powerful and the grasping popular segments of the free society see erstwhile hedonists, communists, swamp swine and other morally unnecessary heathen in those who would have sympathy for a sentiment so demeaning to achievement, a place in the pecking order, the comforts of their masters.
With a bias against the achieving, ruling classes, those who achieve power n general there are those who see sin, avarice, gluttony always there to behold n to skewer. There is unearned bounty to covet and use.
The conundrum of selective virtue.
A neat little bias towards order and societal structure holds well for those with paths to horizons acceptable in their minds eye and in their true hearts. A neat little bias towards order and societal structure holds well with those who hate the poor and disenfranchised.
A comfortable bias towards society's afflicted holds well for those who see all afflictions as terminal or deadly diseases offering no reasonable help of cure. It is not always easy to distinguish.
Able and fat, sustainable and surviving....at what point is a desire to comfort the afflicted thrown out of the equations of public policy, economic policy, public morality, public virtue, public hate? At what point do we start to eat our young?

We have to pay for intimidation, fear, loss, reputation smashing, sustenance threatening, safety ensuring angels of the better natures of those who like what they like, break what they break. We have to pay for hell in a hand basket and we have to smile and like it....we the powerless, products bought and paid for, are products for sale or for the taking. Rotten smells rotten, bad....it can be questioned. Intimidation hurts rotten, bad ...it can be felt. Power hungry bastards can be smelled, divined...they smell. The propaganda campaigns and fast and easy messaging of propaganda campaigns and fast and easy messaging can be seen for what they are, the paths to the roots of our rootless souls ...they can be seen if we have the guts.

It has oft been stated that the functioning democracy is the best of all possible political systems not because, in itself, it is so wonderful and magnanimous but, as has been said, it is the worst of systems save all of the others....when it goes bad, as is often the case, the functioning democracy has the potential to harm the least amount of people and prop up comparative whole classes of nascent winners rather than the few killers left to other cherished dysfunctional systems....this, its major recommendation...it makes more thieves, thugs and idiots happy of, in their own volition rather than just becoming happy through being at the wrong end of the barrel of a gun,
In our sterling world of today we test and love these equations, these forms greatly. We ponder and pander and kneel with pleasure. We make craven images of the sufficiently lame, sufficiently unthoughtful, sufficiently hate driven, ideologically driven folks that we can muster up out of the grimy muck. We worship the sprints to the bottom of all of the piles of sufficiently unvirtuous speech and impractical minds. We revel in the palatable raw pure eviscerating emotions of the frenzied driven sycophants and psychopaths, hustlers and pimps who are able to dream the dreams of base intimidation and exceptional force. We worship all rancid muscle...the grace of mud wrestling heroes to adorn and adore.
In political and historical genius we function well in the defense of the safety nets of mass delusion and incompetence.

Florida wants a big time primary. Iowa wants its place in the sun. New Hampshire wants to continues to be heaven on political earth. States are gaming states here there and every where. We can have northern state coalesce against southern states. We can have the southwest invade the wheat fields of the midlands. We can have the coasts form a pincer movement against the the Mississippi Valley. We can have a true explosion of red blooded militias fighting for state birds and state flowers and the states rights to be separate and indomitable domains that reflect the true independent nature of America. We can be the Balkans west...with a never ending narrative of conflict and war, tribalism and self righteousness.
We can also travel to beautiful downtown South Carolina and listen to state folk answer phones about the lovely day today.....and state powers making it just too lovely to allow the wrong people to vote....yes the ancestral spirit of rugged individualism...the charming mindset of the rugged individuals. Make all grown people do the corporate dance of numbing infantile rules and let those strong enough to survive in the jungle make the rules.
