Order
in a society demands that acceptable laws be enforced or that
unacceptable laws be imposed. Order benefits those with something to
lose, those with something to gain, those who would be on the wrong side
of the fight if chaos broke out.
Order is that which keeps daily
lives predictable, allows plans to be made, life to go on. Order is a
great leveler, a great inertia built up to enable life to get slowly
more difficult, horizons to get slowly further away, freedom of movement
to become slowly restricted by lack of means, lack of stature. The
great inertias love the static pleasures of hate and disdain, evil straw
men, false gods and idols, paper villains, smoke and mirrors. The
great inertias need diversion and entertainment from where ever it may
come. The great inertias need to have their useful games.
Order
is usually better than chaos as chaos brings often slaughter
dehumanization, bile, a world of rancid. The keepers of the flames of
order are those who live to set the tone, the boundaries, the scopes of
doable behavior. Those who madly desire to influence the structures and
attitudes of enforcement, force, intimidation, the buying and selling
and breaking of souls find themselves with the immutable pat hand. It
is rational to exercise the bounty, once gained, to maximize the options

The public always defers to their betters
Some give. Some take. Some access the public trough. Some gain access to it. Some get the crumbs and the conscience money. Some know how to get what is theirs. Some know that nothing is theirs so they just wait with open arms for the manna from heaven that rains down upon them. Some want help. Some need help. Some take their help by birthright. Some invest in the store for access to greater returns. Some just thrill at being able to live at the poverty line due to public largesse. Oyhers just happily decide who better to take their money and treasure.
Owners own. Breakers break. Killers kill. Those who play the with the house's money get to take it and have the public love 'em for it. The public always defers to their betters.

The student, the voting public is the boss.
The student, the voting public is the boss.
Teaching and politics.
Once it seemed aspirational for the common sucker to wish to understand and grasp ideas and notions presented by those of insight and ability. These humble folk were not dissuaded from putting forth ideas and sentiments and either asking for or demanding that their humble public make the effort to understand, challenge, respect and accomplish thought.
With teaching the power was with the educated stalwart who was allowed to teach because he or she presumably knew more than those being taught. They were there to learn, to grasp, to expand idea, tools. They were not there to force compliance with their abilities to be entertained. They were not the sellers of attention spans. They were the buyers of services. Their moods and peccadilloes did not dictate presentation. Students were not a congregations hiring dancing performers.
It is the salving of the needs of the poor babies who must be informed that counts. The status of the having power in the power to fail is a wonderful thing.

Humanity has no commonality.
Since there are no fixed points in human behavior, no grand scale of a march towards civilization, no well considered moral and legal and developmental sets of observations and propositions then all belief systems have equal value and all cultural norms are to be judged solely in the context of their own base parameters, parameters non inclusive of any wider heathen world, any greater poluted information, any greater corrupt experience, any rancid larger pond.
To judge not and be not judged happily becomes judge and be not judged, insulate and attack, attack other insulation and all non insulation. Common values imply contamination and cries for cultural superiorities or inferiorities. All cultures are honorable in all judgements and all examinations of all facets of life and all differences within and without. The paths towards the grand, good society run through the the abilities to establish base premises that exist in a vacuum. The paths towards good relations with differing cultures calls for the acceptance of these vacuums and non examinations of same.

Is there really a public will to make the poor less poor, the uninformed less uninformed, the aggressors less aggressive, the disdainful less so?
Is there really a public will to have jobs for those who are not set up to have jobs, who are out of sinc with the ways of the new world?
Is there really a public will to actually create private / public reorganizations of works and sustainability for those in the chronic loops to nowhere?
Infrastructure works, civilian corps to deal with domestic short comings as needed. Tax incentives. Plans to harness the labor of the unnecessary labor pool.

When a system is non responsive to the interests of its members it is because there is no actual mechanism that would translate real interests into the ability to act upon same.
Politics is push and pull, force and deterrence, will and balance, access to the levers and the powers of the state or governing body.
When those who are able to be of governance have allegiance to power coordination responsive to only power plays then power is the interest that gets served. In the vacuum of any shared responsibility for working government power plays are what is left. Power plays and threats of chaos.

Owning and breaking become the traits to have.
The fractured society sees itself as one with many interests all aiming to improve the lives of those holding them. Identities, needs, alliances, fights, superficialities, the need for swords and big sticks abound. The character of the fracture invites battle without synthesis, thesis based on immutable premise.
The fracture depends upon true believers and real enemies, common and special. The glues of vision and respect dissipate as these things are chimera and ghostly, power is challenged, torn at, dismissed.
Order may be begged for and may be instilled and installed by those who can gain the rational of force. With no common framework of respect, respect reverts to the intimidators, the owners, the breakers.
