As a candidate for office in either the Senate or the House do you view party loyalty above all...even your best judgement?  Do you believe that government is best served and that the people as a whole are best served when the art of politics is based upon the triumph of your party's position over all?

It has been said that politics is the art of the possible.  Do you believe in the art of the possible or just the art of the political victory and the gaining of partisan power?

Politics has been said to function best when there is the art of the compromise.  Does compromise hinder the government of, for and by the people or does compromise promote it?  If you are just going to be a mouthpiece for your party's positions then what is the point of your particular service? Are you capable of limiting rhetorical excess and of understanding true nuances of problems?

Is there no value what so ever in the thought patterns, beliefs, ideas and needs and wants of your opposition?  Can they be people of good will and good Americans if they espouse such opinions"? Why would you wish to represent your enemies?

politics, news, commentary, analysis…The dumb ...... the honored creed. The rancid bastards ...... the true.
