Thanksgiving squared.
Now that everyone has said their thanks
and come clean about their purity it is in the best interests of peace,
joy and contentment to render unto the ghosts of holidays past their due
and to sprout the wings of angels and protect the poor wretched flock
from the sinful baying heathen scavengers.
The poor, poor
innocuous wanderers and travelers, worshipers and faith healers, true
believers and salt of the earth workers, strivers, job creators,
messianic are all in the vast Thanksgiving melting pot being slow cooked
over lazy fires as the world turns and the crops burn and the crows fly
and the stew generates only heat and light.
The melting pot that
is the pride and joy of overblown mouthpieces and facetious princes
creates a meal fit for kings and a confection looked upon as waste by
those who do not go to soup kitchens and charity functions.
It is
better meat that stirs the pulse and rams the hearts of those who can
truly give thanks. It is the sanctity of their thoughts, the purity of
their virtues, the wholeness of their inclusiveness that marks them
good. The oligarchy of spirit is a gift given to those who kneel in
thanks..... it is the season for them and their passions. Oligarchy is
good.
