waving in the swirling winds of intemperance and intolerance. The

Reason is America. Reason is
the grand growth of capital, of freedom, the sweat of labor, the standby
of the informed and well practiced. Reason separates always the wheat
from the chafe, the dead fruit from the wet.... tells us that we are
worthy of the greatness of civilization. Reason. The good honey in the

of our public life. We demand only that which is our birthright.
