Since the whole purpose of political talk is to work backward and to
shape the facts and the story to the preset and prerequisites and
patently required conclusions expressed by those who are oh so smart, oh
so selfless, omnipotent, preening enough to gobble up the air we
breathe and the peace we crave; the lard we spread and the poses we
love well for the hot calendars of refreshing toys that we dream of
constantly and capriciously.
