protection racket is a good racket. You protect the victim from
unwanted consequence over which you have a measure of control for just
the price of a small pound of flesh and a lick of the boot and a bow
down to master.
With the many precious prescient masters we have
at our disposal in the games of governing and maneuvering and posturing
and power grabbing it is good to see our latent thuggish behavior come
out in the open so that we can see the games played and the stripes
made.
The grand authoritarian strain of the holy rollers and
generalized haters of all things other is the heavenly beacon to which
the inordinately droll bow.
Guns and things and intimidation and
things and sure shots and happy thugs and know nothings and steel toed
boots and demigods and fascists and fellow stars .... this is the new
normal.
