Schools is place to keep the young off of the streets so that they can only harm each other.
Because
we are an educated civilized society we, across the spectrum of class
and ideology know that teaching is done by those who wish their summers
off and are unfit for anything else and that there is no subject matter
taught in schools that cannot be taken up and internalized by the street
wise player who is naturally smarter than any educated dolt.
When
we wish dumb to be our national obsession and we wish curriculum to
feed our social, political, ideological agendas, when we wish to make
teaching as unattractive an option as possible to anyone of substance,
when we know that calling teaching a profession and treating it as such
is just an excuse to steal tax payers money then we are truly in our
heaven sent elements and truly working hard to keep education the
whore's game it has become.
